Scenario based training
– Team movements in buildings, with emphasis on the Team Leader role
– Practical police scenarios with marking cartridges

-Critical Incident Response practical application during live scenarios

– Practical exposure to pistol, shotgun and carbine (live ammunition)

Thursday, August 15
Organized full day of group esprit de corps events and tourist attractions

Free evening upon late return to PRTC
Friday, August 16
Post Critical Incident Scene Management (Mass casualty crime scene)
-Managing a scene post a critical incident
Lunch at PRTC
Vehicle use of cover
– Discussion and practical training on modern concepts of using a vehicle as cover
– Scenario training using marking cartridges
– All safety equipment and training weapons will be provided
Off cover shooting drills
– Discussion and practical training on modern concepts and advantages of using “off-cover” shooting techniques
– Scenario training using marking cartridges
– All safety equipment and training weapons will be provided
Dinner at PRTC
Evening social at a local pub
Saturday, August 17
Scenario based training
– Attendees will participate in a room clearing and target shooting
competition using marking cartridges (no live ammunition)
-All safety equipment and training weapons will be provided
Lunch at PRTC
Police defensive tactics
– Correcting various tactical errors involving pain compliance, handcuffing,
ground defence, etc
-Discussion on modernizing how we instruct defensive tactics (teaching
principals vs. specific techniques)
– This is a practical and physical session outdoors or in the gymnasium
– Participation level will be at attendees own discretion

Wrap up party in PRTC lounge with certificate presentations
